Title: Watch Technician
Based at: Westfield London Shopping Centre, W12 7GF
Duration: Permanent
Time: Full-time, 50+ hours
Watch & Jewellery Repair is looking to recruit a highly motivated ambitious individual to serve customers and carry out watch repairs at our busy established branch in London.
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and flexible working is fundamental to this role. Technical/sales training will be provided. Please apply by attaching a comprehensive CV.
The Role
This is a position for those candidates who are enthusiastic about repairing watches which will involve repairing or replacing bracelets and leather straps watches, replacing glasses and batteries of watches, basic stone setting, being able to inform customers on the technical details of the watch and the repair process on the phone or in person. Training will be provided but previous experience is of definite advantage.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
•Examining the customers’ faulty watches in order to identify problems and estimating the initial cost of repair based on the guidelines of the company.
•Basic repairs of watches like fitting new batteries, resealing cases, fitting straps and bracelets, shortening bracelets by removing links, fixing replacing dial features, using the water pressure test device
•Being able to convince the customers that Watch Surgery is the correct address for all watch repair needs
•Knowledge of specifications of watches and the skills to set, adjust and activate all functions of different watches
•Having the expertise to use repair tools and testing equipment to make minor repairs to watches
•Taking cash and card payments.
•Basic admin tasks such as ordering of parts, updating customers via email or phone calls.
•Deliver best possible customer service
•Ongoing customer communication
•Being flexible open and close a branch.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £9.00 to £11.00 /hour
