Clocks are at the heart of our business, with the Regulator clock which stands to this day in the jewellery, clock and watch department was made by Deacon & Son Ltd around 1865 when the company held one of the timing contracts for the Great Western Railway on the line between Padding ton and Swansea. Before radio and the telephone gave universally available timing, accurate time keeping had to be maintained locally and this was usually done by the means of the regulator clock.

Good old fashioned customer service is Deacon’s core belief, underpinned by its offerings of valuations, bespoke design services, and of course repairs.

The store is now looking forward to welcoming a new Horologist with a good experience of all types of clocks and watches to join its highly valued After sales Service team in its comprehensively fitted out Workshops.

While the value of BHI qualification is clearly recognized, depth of experience on the bench is also highly prized. Where required, access to specific technical training will be provided.

If the above description is a good fit, we welcome your interest, either by your CV or a confidential telephone conversation, whichever is best.

The salary is dependent on experience.
