We are looking for an experienced Diamond Setter who is energetic and can work under pressure in a new jewellery shop, based in Mayfair, London.
You will work within a small team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting various shapes of diamonds under a microscope, including micro pave diamonds. The individual must be a team player and be able to work well with others as well as possess a passion for their craft and take pride in their work.
Here’s an example of some of the duties you will be responsible for:
•Diamond and Gemstone settings. All shapes, All metals, All setting styles
•Ring resizing
•Evaluate quality of materials or products.
•Examine physical characteristics of gemstones or precious metals.
•Sort materials or products for processing, storing, shipping, or grading.
•Draw guide lines or markings on materials or workpieces using patterns or other references.
•Select production equipment according to product specifications.
•Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
•Drill holes in parts, equipment, or materials.
•Operate grinding equipment.
•Sharpen cutting or grinding tools
•Cleaning and polishing castings
•Gold/Platinum soldering
•Take part in the design process with CAD artist
Required skills:
•Preferably at least 2 years experience of working as a diamond/stone setter
•Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced production environment
•Able to work with a small team
Desirable:
•Laser Experience
Salary negotiable, based on experience.
