Bench Jeweler (Stone Setter/Manufacturing/Repair) – The Bench Jeweler role will require the candidate to fabricate, create, and design custom jewelry or restore and repair jewelry to its original condition. Jewelers. Jewelers will work in a modern state-of-the-art workshop. They will have a personal bench scope with GRS tools as well as laser welding machine.
• Chain and clasp repair
• Laser welder
• Re-tipping prongs
• Setting stones
• Creating mountings
• Performing minor or major ring repair and other jewelry repairs
• Precious metal fabrication
• Precious metal casting
• Custom design and creation from counter sketch to finished product
Secondary, Jeweler will be asked to help with overflow of customers when needed. They will create relationships with the customers and help maintain a positive workspace.
o Customer service minded individuals with a high standard for quality work
o Attention to safety, knowledge of the hazards associated with each chemical/tool/machine
o Ability to manage supply inventory, production schedules and workflow
o Ability to stay focused on projects, keep a careful eye on costs and meet deadlines
o Ability to work quickly and precisely with tools ,machines, and open flame (torch)
o Knowledge of precious metals assembly and fabrication techniques
o Graduate Jeweler Diploma (GIA) preferred
