On December 13th, jewelry from the collection one of America’s most iconic women will be auctioned off at Christie’s in New York City. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, 80 pieces from Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry collection will be up for sale to the highest bidder.
It is widely considered to be one of the most important jewelry events in the United States and will include famous pieces like the La Peregrina necklace, The Night of the Iguana Brooch, the Taj Mahal pendant, and many more pieces. Also included in the auction will be some of Taylor’s more famous outfits including the dresses she wore to her first and second marriages to Richard Burton. Items in the auction are valued anywhere from $4,000 to $1.5 million or more.
