Lake Country Jewelers Ltd is a progressive jeweler focusing on custom made jewelery in gold and platinum. Our store has been one of the leading custom jewelers in the Milwaukee, WI area since 1993. We have had very little turnover since our inception and our store is a professional but warm environment. We have the latest of equipment including a 120 joule laser-star laser welder. We have a licensed Matrix jewelry Cad design software package and would be willing to pay extra per hour or per piece for this work to be done as needed.
We also have a full metal machine shop for wedding bands as well as casting equipment in both vacuum and centrifugal. Our bench jewelers can have as much or little counter presence as the person would like. There is a little window of opportunity for the right person to train with our existing jeweler as my current goldsmith transitions into a part time retirement mode. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to train with an extremely gifted bench jeweler of 30+ years who is an excellent teacher and wonderful person to work with. We are looking for a 4 or 5 day a week person and offer consistent but possibly flexible hours. 8 to 12 hours per day is possible to make for a flexible work week. Our watch and jewelry shops are visually open to the public so a neat and tidy person is important. Smoking is not allowed in the building but is permitted on the property.
The compensation package is flexible and adjusted to the skill sets bringing to the position. We also encourage training and continued education relating to your bench jeweler career and willing to share in these expenses as they become available. There is also a commission compensation package if preferred by the applicant which can be discussed during interview. Wisconsin is an inviting state for all persons and our store has an outdoor minded staff. Hunting and fishing are nearby and we understand the demands of the sports. We do both wholesale and retail bench work and provide the highest of quality for both customers. We are also a watch repair resource for many stores across the country and we are a Rolex parts account providing all areas of watch repair. We have approved workshops for Rolex, Cartier, and Omega Watch brands.
