Watchmaker – High-end Luxury Jewelers

Our client
Our client is a privately owned, highly successful, and fast-growing luxury goods retailer. They have many repeat, high net worth customers due to being experts in their field and are always at hand with their expert advice as well as providing an experiential buying experience for their discerning clientele. Integrity, honesty, and customer delight are at the heart of everything they do.
Due to growth, they now seek a full-time, permanent Watchmaker, reporting to the Managing Director and Founder of the Company.

Watchmaker duties to include:
- You will be responsible for the service & maintenance of luxury time pieces from brands such as Rolex, Patek & Hublot to name just a few. You will perform quartz and Automatic watch servicing, case repair and refinishing, water resistance methods, parts requisition, and testing techniques according to established time frames and quality standards.
- You will produce daily production reports, maintain accurate logs of completed orders, and communicate the status of assigned repairs to the administrative staff as needed.
- Communicate status updates to administrative staff and areas of concern to management
- Comply with all policies and procedures, as well as departmental processes and best practices, including but not limited to, Internal Audit, Human Resources and Occupational Safety
Skills, Knowledge, & Personal Attribute Requirements:
- Several years of experience as a Watchmaker working with luxury time pieces from brands such as Rolex, Patek, Hublot or similar
- Ability to work quickly and flexibly and meet changing deadlines and time constraints
- High level of organization and strong time-management ability
- Experience in watch and/or jewelry polishing and or refinishing is an advantage
- Ability to work quickly and flexibly and meet changing deadlines and time constraints
- Strong attention to detail
- Any polishing experience is a plus and will be taken into consideration
Physical Requirements:
- Able to use magnifying tools (handheld or watchmaker loupe) to visually inspect watches to evaluate performance, and identify aesthetic flaws
- Excellent motor skills, hand/eye coordination, and vision
- Ability to remain seated for an extended period of time
