Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Vintage Watchmaker at our workshop in Central London. The Vintage Watchmaker will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of vintage timepieces, ensuring high standards of quality and precision. Daily tasks include diagnosing issues, performing detailed restorations on mechanical movements, conducting quality control checks, and maintaining detailed records of completed work. Collaboration with a team of horological experts and adherence to strict timelines are integral to the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Watch Repair and maintenance of vintage timepieces
- Experience with Clocks and Watches, including understanding their mechanisms and history
- Strong attention to detail and a High Level of Accuracy in completing intricate work
- Ability to conduct thorough Quality Control procedures to ensure restoration quality
- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for working with precision tools
- Relevant horological certifications or formal watchmaking training are highly desirable
