Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repairs of Jacksonville and St. Augustine, FL is seeking an experienced Watch Repair Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, enjoys solving technical problems, and is committed to delivering exceptional quality.
As a Watch Repair Technician, you will evaluate, service, and repair a variety of quartz and mechanical watches while providing reliable recommendations and outstanding customer service. You’ll work alongside a professional team in a modern repair environment using industry-standard tools and equipment.

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose watch performance issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Service quartz and mechanical watches with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Replace batteries, crystals, crowns, stems, gaskets, straps, bracelets, and other watch components.
- Perform movement servicing, regulation, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly when appropriate.
- Complete bracelet sizing, clasp repairs, polishing, refinishing, and light cosmetic restoration.
- Test watches for proper operation and water resistance when applicable.
- Prepare accurate repair estimates and clearly communicate repair options.
- Maintain organized repair records and ensure work is completed within expected turnaround times.
- Keep tools, equipment, and workstations clean and properly maintained.
- Handle customer timepieces with the highest level of care, professionalism, and security.
- Complete intakes of customers timepieces in our system and maintain a high level of professionalism with customer communication.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional watch repair experience.
- Strong understanding of quartz and mechanical watch movements.
- Experience with disassembly, troubleshooting, cleaning, lubrication, and reassembly.
- Proficiency using professional watchmaking equipment including timing machines, pressure testers, ultrasonic cleaners, and specialized hand tools.
- Experience replacing common watch components including batteries, crystals, crowns, stems, bracelets, clasps, and gaskets.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to fine detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple repairs efficiently.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced retail repair environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal watchmaking education or horology certification.
- Experience servicing Swiss and luxury watch brands.
- Knowledge of automatic, manual-wind, and vintage movements.
- Experience restoring older timepieces.
- Ability to mentor or assist in training less experienced technicians.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform detailed bench work for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and steady fine motor skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move small tools, equipment, and inventory.
