Role Description

The Watch Polisher is responsible for restoring and finishing watch cases, bracelets, and related components to a high standard, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and aesthetically consistent. Day-to-day tasks include preparing watches for polishing, selecting appropriate tools and compounds, carefully polishing and buffing metal surfaces, and inspecting finished pieces for defects, scratches, or uneven finishes. The role also involves working closely with watchmakers and technicians, following established processes, maintaining equipment, and handling watches with care to prevent damage. Additional responsibilities may include basic cleaning, organizing workstations, logging completed work, and meeting agreed turnaround times. This is a full-time, on-site role located in London.

Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated experience in polishing or finishing metal items (watch cases, jewelry, or similar precision work).
  • Strong attention to detail, steady hand–eye coordination, and ability to work on small, delicate components.
  • Basic understanding of different metals and finishes (e.g., stainless steel, gold, brushed and polished surfaces).
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, use polishing tools safely, and maintain a tidy, organized workspace.
  • Commitment to quality, reliability in meeting deadlines, and willingness to learn specialized watch-finishing techniques.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with watchmakers and other team members.
  • Previous experience in watchmaking, jewelry, or fine craftsmanship is an advantage.
  • Right to work in the UK and availability for full-time, on-site work in London.
