About the job
About the Company
VAER designs and assembles watches in-house, and we’re growing fast.
About the Role
We’re hiring another Watch Assembly Technician to join our production team in the Kansas City area — someone who’s precise, organized, and takes real pride in getting the small stuff right.
Responsibilities
- Assemble VAER watches across a range of movement types: quartz, solar quartz, meca-quartz, and automatic
- Manage bench-level inventory across dozens of small components — know what you have, what’s running low, and what’s gone into which batch
- Inspect incoming components for defects and flag QC issues before they hit assembly
- Run quality control on finished watches: appearance, hand alignment, final wipe down
- Keep your workstation and production logs clean and accurate
- Work with our quality team to troubleshoot recurring component or assembly issues

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to pick up new processes quickly
- Real attention to detail — you can track dozens of small part types without losing count or mixing batches
- A hands-on, get-it-done attitude and willingness to work closely with the team
- A genuine interest in watches and craftsmanship
