THE JOB
Handcraft our jewelry by hand, to our exact standard, and help us get beautiful orders out the door fast. Day to day, that means:
Make every piece to spec. Quality is our number one priority. Loop and puka tension just right, knots just so, sliders set correctly on adjustable pieces.
Get orders out as soon as possible. Timing matters more than raw piece counts.
Take care of your materials and tools, and flag low-quality or low supplies before they run out.
Show up when you say you will, and communicate early if anything changes.
Full-time-ish, 30+ hours a week, Monday to Friday. In person at our West Austin workshop (the Tula Treehouse). Ideally bilingual (English + Spanish).
HOW IT WORKS
No experience needed. We train every maker in house, one skill at a time.
During training, you work a set schedule and are paid hourly at $10 an hour, so you can learn steadily.
Once you are trained, pay moves to per piece. Most makers earn between $15 and $18 an hour based on season and skill. Some earn more, some less.
After training, you set your own hours. You pick the days and times that work for your life, within our workshop hours, 30+ hours a week, Monday to Friday, set in advance so the workshop can plan around you. Real flexibility, steady work.
If you are fluent in English and Spanish, there is a path to grow into helping train our future makers.
