Position Overview

Carousel is seeking skilled Bench Jewelers to join our growing repair and aftercare operation serving high-end jewelry brands. This role is responsible for performing high-quality repairs and refurbishments on a wide range of fine jewelry, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, consistency, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with precious metals, small hand tools, and standard jewelry repair chemicals, and takes pride in producing work that meets or exceeds luxury brand standards.

Jewelry Repair Job

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed jewelry repairs and refurbishments across rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and other fine jewelry items using appropriate tools and repair techniques
  • Inspect incoming jewelry to assess condition, identify repair requirements, and confirm specifications prior to beginning work
  • Execute repairs including, but not limited to, ring sizing, soldering, polishing, stone tightening, assembly, and general restoration
  • Safely and effectively use applicable chemicals such as flux, boric acid, and cleaning solutions as part of the repair process
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure all repairs meet quality, durability, and appearance standards
  • Maintain structural integrity and aesthetic quality consistent with luxury brand expectations
  • Keep a clean, organized, and secure workstation, including proper storage of tools, materials, and chemicals
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors or team members regarding item condition, repair limitations, missing information, or potential concerns
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines when handling tools, chemicals, and high-value inventory
  • Collaborate with other jewelers, technicians, and departments to meet production goals and turnaround times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Bench Jeweler, jewelry repair technician, or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently meet precise quality standards
  • Demonstrated craftsmanship and pride in fine jewelry repair and finishing
  • Comfortable using small hand tools, standard jewelry equipment, and repair chemicals
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to assess repair needs and determine appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment while maintaining high quality
  • Experience with gold and platinum required, experience with laser welding preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Pay: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour
