About Us
GEA Jewelers is a NYC‑based custom jewelry manufacturer partnering with B2B clients to produce high-quality, handcrafted pieces – including engagement rings, wedding bands, and bespoke artisan designs. We’re a growing startup looking for a skilled Bench Jeweler to join our creative team.
What You’ll Do
- Craftsmanship & Fabrication: Use metals like gold, silver, and platinum to build and finish custom pieces from CAD guided prototypes to final polished product.
- Stone Setting: Set gemstones (prong, bezel, flush, pavé)
- Quality Assurance: Examine every piece for flaws, ensuring it meets GEA’s standards before delivery
- Tool & Workstation Maintenance: Use and care for bench‑tools (saws, torches, gravers, polishers) and maintain a clean, safe work area.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience as a bench jeweler or equivalent trade experience.
- Proven skill in metal fabrication, laser soldering, polishing and advanced stone setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management to ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Familiarity with safety standards and willingness to maintain proper workspace hygiene.
