Full job description
The main role of the goldsmith position is to be efficient in all phases of jewelry repair. The role will also include, assisting with customer service activities with clients and vendors. This position will consist of, but is not limited to the following: setting of diamonds and colored stones, including fancy shapes; basic repairs such as ring sizing, chain repairs, re-tipping prongs, soldering, and re-shanking; basic use and maintenance of a laser machine. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
. Previous goldsmith experience is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
. Must be able to work with metals including platinum, 18K gold, 14K gold, and sterling silver
. Must be energetic, dependable, and able to multi-task
. Work well in a team environment
. Self-motivated and organized, with a strong attention to detail
. Takes pride in the end result of finished products
. Able to maintain confidentiality
. Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
. Have a strong desire and passion to help others
. Provide professional, high quality customer service with a positive attitude
. Respond to customers with a sense of urgency, in an accurate and timely manner
This position is Monday thru Friday, with additional Saturday hours during the Christmas season.
