We are seeking an experienced candidate with 3+ years in the fine jewelry trade for an on-premises position of Advanced Repair Jeweler.

We are looking for a talented, experienced, self-motivated jeweler. The right candidate must be proficient in all aspects of fine jewelry repair, stone setting, and fabrication skills. The use of polishing equipment and jewelry hand tools. Use of a LASER welder is a plus.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of repair, restoration, production, manufacturing, assembly and design.

Jeweler Job

Requirements include:

  • Ability to polish and finish jewelry. Significant experience performing and troubleshooting repairs
  • Ability to perform both diamond and gemstone setting. Ability and skill to set round and fancy shapes using prong, bezel, pave, burnishing, bead, channel, split prong, shared prong, and fishtail setting techniques.
  • Ability to perform all aspects of jewelry repair and restoration, including ring sizing, re-shanking, chain repairs, hollow item repair, soldering, prong tipping and replacement, channel rebuilding, resetting stones, assembly, rhodium plating, finishing, and polishing, etc.
  • Ability to work on precious metals, including 10, 14, and 18-karat gold, in all steps of the repair process. Platinum experience is a requirement.
  • Ability to assemble raw castings and parts into finished jewelry.
  • The use of polishing equipment, jewelry hand tools, torches for soldering and welding of precious metals, and electroplating. The use of a LASER welder is a plus but not required
  • Ability to complete 15 to 30 new repairs daily and Quality Check your work.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and upkeep of shop.
  • Understanding of safety and security protocols associated with shop equipment and chemicals.
  • Custom hand fabrication experience. Hand engraving skills is a plus.
  • Pride in craftsmanship. Self-Motivated. Highly organized with great attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are a must.

Desire to perform at a high standard to complete quality work.

Must take direction well.

The right candidate must be a self-starter, and a team player, with the ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment. Ability to multi task and efficient use of time management.

A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to use sound judgment to arrive at the best outcome based on the information at hand.

Attention to detail.

Trained and educated in jewelry repair and design is required.

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
