Job Description
Identify and plan the flow of materials to be recycled
- Map the flows of components or products containing precious and non-precious materials
- Plan the campaigns for the destruction, dismantling, sorting and recovery of materials with the various entities of the company.
- Guarantee and maintain an up-to-date list of types of components or materials that can be recovered.
Organize the materials recycling process
- Define and ensure the implementation of counting, dismantling, sorting, separation or crushing methods according to product types
- To ensure operations are carried out internally or by service providers
- Comply with confidential destruction standards and financial traceability requirements
- Organize, track, and control the inventory of destroyed components to be dismantled and/or destroyed.
Measuring, tracking and valorizing recovered materials
- Implement precise weighing at each stage of the process
- Collaborating with the Finance & Controlling department on calculating material yield
- Participate in the analysis of weight discrepancies and contribute to the proposal and implementation of corrective actions with the relevant stakeholders.
Traceability and compliance
- Document each operation
- Ensuring regulatory compliance
- Keep procedures, work instructions, and responsibility matrices up to date
Continuous improvement and management of the materials recycling process
- Propose and manage improvement actions
- Participate in working groups with the quality, finance, production and purchasing departments
Reporting & performance indicators
- Develop dashboards to monitor the materials recycling process
- Track the process KPIs
- Prepare analyses for internal or external audits
Profile
- Watch repairer with proven experience in the watchmaking industry [CFC Watchmaker (4 years) or CFC Micromechanic (4 years) an asset]
- Good understanding of the materials used in industry
- Good knowledge of SAP [MM] and excellent command of MS Excel and Word
- Reading and understanding technical drawings – assembly/disassembly procedures
- Mastering the concept of flow in a complex and cross-functional business context
- Skills in coordination with a systemic approach
- Fluency in French (spoken and written), basic knowledge of English is a significant asset
- Proactivity, analytical skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to understand and assimilate new subjects
- Rigour, ability to communicate and to apply and enforce company standards
- Good communication skills with different departments/hierarchical levels
- Understanding the philosophy of Lean Management
- Knowledge of corporate finance, including cost management, financial planning and reporting
- A discreet and trustworthy person skilled in handling confidential data.
