Job Overview
We are seeking a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented Jewelry and Watch Technician / Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, precision work while also interacting with customers in a friendly, professional manner. We are known for our exceptional customer service and are looking for someone who takes pride in both craftsmanship and client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replace watch batteries and perform basic watch services
- Size watch bracelets (add/remove links)
- Change and adjust watch bands and straps
- Professionally polish and clean jewelry
- Assist master jeweler with limited bench work and basic jewelry repairs
- Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, explaining services, and ensuring a positive in-store experience
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspace
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fine motor skills
- Comfortable working with small, delicate components
- Personable, professional, and customer-focused
- Ability to multitask between technical work and customer interaction
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
- Previous jewelry or repair experience is a plus, but not required (training available for the right candidate)
