Job Description: Bench Jeweler (Part-Time)
The Jeweler LLC is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about their craft. This role is hands-on and requires the ability to perform a wide range of jewelry repairs and maintenance with precision and efficiency.
A minimum of 2 years of independent jewelry repair experience is preferred; however, we are open to candidates with unique skill sets who are eager to grow with our business and contribute to our long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality jewelry repairs, including ring sizing, soldering, prong re-tipping, stone tightening, and polishing.
- Work with precious metals such as platinum, gold, white gold, and silver.
- Conduct basic stone setting and tightening.
- Ability to replace watch batteries (preferred but not required).
- Maintain all bench tools and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the bench and workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Provide guidance to sales staff on jewelry repair intake and processes.
- Deliver friendly and professional service, contributing to a positive customer experience.
- Maintain high productivity and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Be open to learning CAD design and other advanced techniques as the business grows.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bench jeweler experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in ring sizing, soldering, and stone setting.
- Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Interest in ongoing skill development and growth within the company
Compensation:
- Pay: Starting at $18.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Additional Compensation: Eligible to participate in the Store Sales Commission Incentive Program, which may increase total earnings.
