We are looking for a bench jeweler to work with us on-site at Miller’s Jewelry.
Currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and performance-driven individual to join our team and become an important part of our store’s future. Ours is a local business that is well-established and family owned & operated. We run a full-service jewelry store – right on Main Street in the Downtown District of Bozeman. Our lab keeps busy with repairs and stock/custom work.

Job Description
This position will include, but is not limited to the following:
– service & repair to clients’ jewelry
– work on custom-design & stock pieces
– ordering/choosing parts
– cleaning & checking merchandise for the store and for customers throughout the day
– assisting with pricing of repair jobs
– consulting with customers, as needed
– maintaining all bench tools and equipment; keep a safe, neat, and clean workspace
– working in a timely manner to complete projects according to established deadlines & ensure profits
Excellent quality and customer service are expected!
This is a full-time position. Work will be done on-site, in our Main Street lab.
An extensive background check will be performed as part of the hiring process.
A bench test will also be administered prior to hiring.
Compensation will be dependent on experience.

Required Skills:
– minimum of three years’ experience with jewelry repairs in a business/lab setting
– demonstrated proficiency and skill in the areas of sizing, soldering, and polishing/finishing
– setting expertise in the basic methods of prong and bezel
– ability to complete multiple projects per day, dependent upon their level of difficulty
– ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English to properly complete repairs
– competence with a laser welding machine
– organized & reliable
– deadline & detail-oriented
– honest & dependable
– efficient with his/her time and understanding of the importance of production speed
Preferred Skills:
– Setting experience in more advance techniques
(pave, tension, flush, etc.)
– capacity to order parts and stones necessary for various jobs
– hand-engraving
– casting
– wax-carving
– ability to work directly with customers as needed about repairs & design work
– extensive industry knowledge and the willingness to share said knowledge & experience
Familiarity with a point-of-sale system is a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
