S & L Gem Co. is a fine jewelry store that has serving in the Bay area, California since 2005. We are a strong, striving, and growing company that has not been phased by the pandemic. Our mission is to help our guests celebrate every monumental moment with gifts that last a lifetime and generations to come.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Retail Repair Jeweler to join our team and help maintain the quality and integrity of our clients’ cherished pieces. Seeing as we are an expanding company, we strive for candidates with the capabilities and want to expand themselves in the roles the company has to offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on gold, silver, and platinum jewelry
- Sizing rings, setting stones, soldering, polishing, and rhodium plating
- Inspect and clean jewelry to ensure it meets quality standards
- Provide in-store assessments and estimates for repair services
- Maintain a clean and organized bench and work environment
- Work with sales associates to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain detailed repair logs and documentation
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a high school diploma/GED. (Sales; Luxury or Jewelry Sales preferred).
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays is required.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
