We are a high-volume, full-service local jewelry store looking for an experienced and skilled Bench Jeweler who has the ability and willingness to repair any piece of jewelry (and occasional house-hold item) our clients bring in. We work with all metals– precious, industrial and base. Knowledge of all stone-setting methods is a must, as is the ability to solve complex repair issues.
We are looking for a skilled jeweler with at least 3 years of experience at the bench.
We offer full-time hours, Tuesday through Saturdays.
Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Consistently meeting deadlines for repair and custom jobs
- Producing quality craftsmanship
- Collaboration with team members– both sales associates and fellow jewelers
- Basic shop maintenance, including managing materials and tools
Requirements
- Tuesday-Saturday schedule, full-time
- 3+ years of experience with skills in all stone setting methods, rebuilding and refurbishing all parts of various jewelry pieces– many of which are antique family pieces, wide range of knowledge of tools and techniques related to metalworking, soldering, sizing rings up and down, cleaning and plating metal, laser welding, chain and clasp repair, high-end polishing and finishing
- Ability to engage and communicate with team members to accomplish store’s mission
