MJ Harrington Jewelers — a trusted name in fine jewelry for over 77 years — is seeking a Master Jeweler to join our dedicated team of artisans and professionals in beautiful downtown Newport, New Hampshire.

Jewelry Repair Job

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert-level jewelry repairs, restoration, and fabrication
  • Set stones of all types (prong, bezel, pave, channel, etc.) with precision and care
  • Design and create custom pieces using both traditional and modern techniques
  • Execute ring sizing, soldering, re-tipping, polishing, and finishing to perfection
  • Inspect and ensure all work meets MJ Harrington’s high quality standards
  • Collaborate with sales and design teams on custom projects and special orders
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workshop environment
  • Uphold the integrity, craftsmanship, and legacy of the MJ Harrington name

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in fine jewelry repair and fabrication
  • Strong background in gemstone setting, laser welding, and finishing
  • Knowledge of precious metals and traditional bench techniques
  • Experience with CAD design or modern jewelry-making tools a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, patience, and pride in craftsmanship
  • Integrity, reliability, and a true love for the art of fine jewelry
