We are seeking candidates for the position of Bench Jeweler. In addition to performing jewelry maintenance and repair, the Bench Jeweler will be responsible for the shop and maintaining all equipment. The ideal candidate will be an expert at basic sizing, soldering and prong setting in gold and platinum, gold and platinum jewelry, basic custom jewelry design and precious stone setting.
The Bench Jeweler works closely with the Store Manager to achieve jewelry shop and financial goals! Successful candidates will work well in a customer friendly environment, communicate effectively with customers and have a strong work ethic.
Bench Jeweler Responsibilities:
•All types of basic repair, including but not limited to, sizing, shanks, and melee stone setting
•Able to head and set any type of round or fancy loose stone in gold or platinum
•Quality control of all work
•Clear and effective communication with the Store Manager
•Cleaning and polishing of work as needed
•Any other tasks assigned by the store manager
Bench Jeweler Qualifications
•At least 5 years in a bench jeweler role
•LASER certified or experience in using laser
•Extremely high-quality standards
•A positive attitude and passion for the jewelry industry
•A desire to exceed the expectations of every customer
