New York City’s Largest and Most Convenient Pawn Shop is seeking Repair Jewelers to join our family! Potential candidates must possess great customer service and communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus! They must know all phases of repair jewelry as well as, platinum, gold, and silver. Must have the FDNY Certification – (if not, be willing to retain one).
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Communicate effectively, comprehend, and verify work instructions.
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Ring Resizing.
•Advanced level understanding of jewelry finishing and repair techniques: cleaning casting, assembling, and soldering.
•Ability to do prong setting.
•Setting stones.
•Polishing.
•Chain and clasp repair.
Position Requirements:
•10-15 years of Bench Jeweler (or relevant) experience in skilled trades working with fine metals.
•Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
