Here at Signet we’re always looking for new talent and we’re currently looking for people like you to join our new Jewellery Repairs workshop within our H Samuel store in Leeds! To support the success of this unique venture we have an excellent opportunity for Jewellers at all levels to join the team in the workshop carrying out our jewellery repairs (soldering, sizing and plating) to a very high standard for our customers in line with our quality assurance and productivity guidelines The jewellery repairs workshop will be integrated into our existing H Samuel store as part of an exciting re-development
Working alongside fellow Jewellers you’ll report into our Jeweller Team Leader and provide an excellent and timely repairs service to a number of our H
Samuel and Ernest Jones stores across the North West
As a Jeweller in the Repairs workshop your role may include, but not be limited to any of the following based on your skills and experience: *Cleaning and Polishing *Ring sizing (up and down) *Half shanking rings (ladies & gents) *Soldering *Repairing hinges *Plating *Flat engraving -Restringing pearl *Channel setting & re-building ring channels *Bezel setting *Re-tipping / re-building claws and re-setting any replacement stones in claws If you’re skilled in some but not all of theses techniques we would still love to hear from you and we do also offer great training for those looking to expand their skills
All suitable candidates will be required to attend a bench test to demonstrate the skills listed above during the interview process
In order to provide the best possible service to our customers evening and weekend working may be required, particularly at peak periods such as Christmas & Valentines Day
