Job Role:
Their workshop continues to be a hive of making activity and there is felt to be the opportunity to be able to corporately welcome a talented diamond setter into their craftsman team.

Interestingly the bench work would be hugely varied from finishing in-house manufactured fine jewellery to adding the crowning glory to customer bespoke commissions across to repairing customer much loved fine jewellery heirlooms.

It may be that you are happy to, on occasion, advise personal shoppers as to suitable stone setting styles that at a design stage might be helpful to be aware of; maximising ease of future production and accentuating individual gems mounted appearance.

It is felt this position would very much appeal to a freelance artisan who would benefit from a dedicated location from where there would be a guaranteed percentage of continual store work

This would attract regular stone by stone payments whilst still allowing an opportunity to continue with top up personal increment through working on your own sourced special commissions.

Requirements:

•The appointee will need to be at the top of their skill set and have vast experience setting stones in channel / bezel and claw settings.

•Experience in invisible setting, rub over and micro setting is much required – as is the ability to work across multiple jewellery pieces be they rings, bracelets, pendants, or earrings.

You’d be part of a wider jeweller team and you would be able, when timely and convenient, to utilise their best of order workshop to your self-performance betterment. To apply please forward your stone setting credentials to Jolyon here at JML
