Boutique Watchmaker

BOUTIQUE WATCHMAKER – JLC BEVERLY HILLS, CA

MAIN PURPOSE

The main purpose of the Watchmaker is to provide immediate service to clients entering the Boutique. This includes providing detailed analysis for the purpose of the repair, being processed at the Watchmakers Location or the RTC, without interruption, including all services and components. In order to achieve this objective, immediate diagnosis to determine the appropriate service that needs to be applied to the following that will need to be performed:

•Watches
•Clocks
•Accessories

Perform tasks following accepted industry standard procedures for product repairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibility 1:

•Diagnosis/Services
•Evaluation of products
•Watches
•Clocks
•Some Accessories where applicable
•Selection of Proper Services to be carried out by the Watchmaker according to Brand Policy to complete Diagnosis and perform services that include the following
•Complete Service
•Maintenance Service
•Polishing Service (Where applicable)
•Quick Service
•Bracelet/Strap Service

These services will include the following types of calibers:

•Quartz
•Mechanical
•Automatic
•Chronographs

As well as possess the basic knowledge of Watch Complications such as:

•Repeaters
•Perpetual Calendars
•Tourbillions
•High Jewelry

In Diagnosis the watchmaker must provide precise and concise communication to either the Sales Associate or the Client themselves regarding the servicing of their product being examined under the extreme testing. The evaluation requires that the following is considered:

Key responsibility 2: Maintenance and Organization of the Workshop

•Maintenance of tools and Equipment
•Ensure that all equipment that is used is:
•Calibrated
•Maintained on a regular schedule
•Proper setup of shop
•Cleanliness
•Proper layout and accessibility of all tools and equipment

Key responsibility 3: Routine Testing of Technical Skills (To be applied by RNA Technical Services)

Provide the Technical Supervisor/Director with feedback related to quality issues found with new and existing product during the repair processes

Education:

•Certification from an Accredited Watchmaking School

Required experience:

•2-5 Years of working with Luxury Watches/ Products
•RTC Training Program

Technical skills / abilities:
