Watchmaker Position

FULL TIME based in Fulwood; Preston

Due to the continued growth at The Watch Lab we have an amazing opportunity for a watchmaker to join our growing team in our Preston Service Centre

From our network of nationwide branches our in-branch technicians complete most of the repairs for our customers on the same day.

For the more complicated or high-value repairs we have around 13,000 watches a year that come to our Service Centre in Preston for repair. This workload is split between our trained watch-technicians who complete work on quartz watches and part jobs, and watchmakers who repair a range of mechanical watches.

Essential Experience

As a watchmaker you would be expected to complete 10-15 mechanical watch services per week, including refurbishing the case and bracelet.

You will need experience with the following calibres: ETA 2824, 2892 and 7750.

You will also provide technical support to the rest of the team

Desirable Experience

Experience with Omega calibre 1861 and other vintage Omega watches.

Any brand accreditation or Rolex experience.

Our goal is to provide a safe and professional but enjoyable place to work, where staff look forward to coming to work each day to help repair our customer’s treasured timepieces to an exceptionally high standard.

At our main Service Centre we currently run a 5 year apprenticeship training programme to train enthusiastic youngsters to become the next generation of watchmakers, ensuring that this ancient craft is kept alive for future generations.

However it all comes down to one thing, we love watches as much as you do, vintage or new, automatic or quartz, Swiss or Japanese, when you pass your watch to The Watch Lab you can be confident that we will take the greatest of care to ensure that your watch is expertly repaired and returned to you.
