Position: Watchmaker

Location: Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to £32,000- £40,000 DOE

Grafton Recruitment are recruiting for a prestigious company for 3 x Watchmakers to join their HQ Team in Henley on Themes.

As a Watchmaker, you need to be self-motivated and set high standards and constantly priorities , be able to work on your own initiative and to tight deadlines.

List of responsibilities of Watchmaker:

•Provides repairs : Quick repairs when required (bracelet /Strap services adjustments etc.)
•Complete service – Hand-wound mechanicals and simple automatics, Chronographs, Simple complications
•Chronograph complications Provides basic polishing-refurbishing service ( If required )
•Guarantees repair Expected quality (esthetical + functional)
•Has a good understanding of equipment and tools in his environment and their safe operation.
•Adopts the most effective and efficient methods to cut down the time spend on each intervention and quality control jobs.
•Supports the estimation, intervention and control phases of customers and stock items (if needed).
•Discusses issues on any trouble-related jobs or problems linked to work load or environment and provides feedback, if any to the superior to achieve productivity level.
•Undertakes special projects assigned
•EHS-technical variations-product knowledge technical updates and improvements made by manufacturers.
•Ensure a high level of intervention service to customers.
•Provide basic polishing-refurbishing service (If required).
•Back-up superior in his technical linked tasks, incl. quality feedback.
•Respect company technical guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate for the Watchmaker position will have:

•Experience Minimum 5 years bench experience
•Preferred WOSTEP or similar diploma in watchmaking.
•Outstanding organisational skills, attention to details.
•Positive and honest approach.
•Understanding the brand ethos.
•Good communication skills.
•High standard of written English and grammar.
•A hardworking and reliable attitude, able to work autonomously but collaboratively.
•Able to remain calm and focussed under pressure.
