R Weil Distribution UK Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond Weil Geneva, is enjoying exceptional growth and is now looking to fill a number of vacancies for Watch Service Technicians to join our busy team in Manchester City Centre.
Raymond Weil, the company, started life in 1976 in Switzerland. In Swiss watchmaking terms, this probably feels very young, but Raymond Weil boasts a rich history and character which belies its relatively short existence. It is one of the few, independent, family-owned brands still in existence.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will either be an experienced technician working in a similar role or a candidate from a retail jewellery background with a demonstrable history of carrying out basic repairs to wristwatches.
The Role:
Carrying out watch technician duties to RWUK standards, including but not limited to
•Fault diagnosis where applicable
•Battery, re-seal, testing, and final quality control
•Glass / Crystal exchange, re-seal, testing, and final quality control
•Crown and/or winder stem removal/exchange, re-seal, testing, and final quality control
•Movement exchange including dial/hands exchange, re-seal, testing, and final quality control
•Minor repairs not required of the watchmaker
•Case, strap, and bracelet exchanges, re-seal, testing, and final quality control
•Cleaning, valeting, and ultrasonic cleaning of cases and bracelets
•Preparing watches for watchmaker intervention
