Opportunity
The Watchmaker position at Weiss entails assembly of new timepieces, repair, and restoration of customer owned timepieces, quality control of assembled timepieces, quality control of manufactured components, and some prototyping. This position also has the unique opportunity to learn and work with the design and manufacturing part of the technical team to help produce components for our timepieces and other manufacturers requiring precision components. We expect you to have a great deal of motivation, willingness to learn, reliability, and perseverance.

Qualifications
•High School Diploma
•Watchmaking SAWTA, WOSTEP, CW21, or similar certification
•Experience working in high-end luxury timepieces 3-5 years, preferred
•Be able to work confidently and accurately
•Be highly organized and capable of managing your own workload
•Ability to work collaboratively
•Ability to work under pressure achieving a high level of accuracy
•Experience in the diagnosis of mechanical timepieces
•Basic verbal and written English communication skills
•Ability to repair and refinish cases and bracelets
•Experience in escapement and hairspring adjustments
•Highly flexible and team oriented, with superior work ethic
•Good organization skills and attention to detail required
•Basic computer knowledge preferred
•Ability to remain in a seated position for an extended period required
Responsibilities
Assembly and development of normal production and prototype timepieces
•Assembles the various components of wristwatches
•Makes final adjustments to optimize overall watch operation
•Performs various final checks specific to each piece (waterproofing, aesthetics, checking of power, power reserve , winding)
•Assemble and validate the fitting of components
Analyze new products and prototypes
•Participates in the analysis of prototypes for validation before launching into production
•Communicates assembly problems and suggests solutions for improvement
•Participate in the development of tools
•Manage stock of supplies and materials
•Indicates the replenishment of supplies so that you always have them available
After-sales service
•Diagnose timepieces for repair and restoration services
•Communicates necessary repairs and service options with clients
•Carry out repairs on timepieces independently from start to finish

Application of quality criteria
•Is continuously able to ensure all quality criteria on both functional and aesthetic aspects in self-monitoring
