The selected candidate will:
•Provide skilled assistance to customers, service, and sales associates in dealing with repairs, alterations and custom jewelry
•Repair / restoration of jewelry
•Assembly and fabrication of new jewelry
•Stone setting
•Inspecting customer jewelry and estimating repairs
•Managing time and materials in a cost-effective and efficient manner
•Interacting with customers
•Supporting the stores vision and Customer Service Policy
Experience & requirements:
•Minimum 5 years of experience
•Ability to work in all precious metals
•Basic knowledge of findings, precious metals, gemstones, chemicals and their interactivity and significance in repair and construction
•Polishing and rhodium plating experience
•Fancy and round stone setting, including prong, bezel, surface and channel techniques
•Laser welding experience
•Solid repair and restoration skills
•Assembly experience
•Ability to manage quality and detail expectations
Additional skills valued, but not required:
•Graver-setting techniques
•Wax carving
•Hand fabrication
•Designing / rendering custom jewelry
•Equipment maintenance
•Parts and tool sourcing knowledge
