We are looking to recruit an experienced Jeweller to support a busy service centre near Manchester. If you are an experienced Jeweller/Goldsmith with polishing experience keen to take the next step in a challenging and dynamic environment and wanting to share your passion for excellence then this could be the ideal role for you. You will need to ensure that all your customers jewellery leaves your workshop in an immaculate condition as well as demonstrating exceptional technical knowledge and attention to detail. Your team will consist of mixed abilities from apprentices supporting a senior team of technicians and experienced jewellers. This is an ideal role for a relatively experienced Jeweller looking for an opportunity to be part of a passionate team.

About The Role

•To carry out repairs/alterations & remakes on all jewellery types & polish to maintain the high quality standard & service level associated with the business for the trade accounts & retail clients in accordance with agreed company procedures
•Adhere to workshop systems & procedures
•Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations and effective service to connecting groups (E.g. Effective alert procedures)
•Maintain tools and relevant machinery adhering to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment, reporting all faults and replacement requirements to the workshop manager
•Maintain on bench stock levels of relevant materials, reporting replacement requirements to the workshop manager
•Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities
•Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
•Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
•Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management
•Keep designated areas clean and tidy ensuring all items used are stored in their appropriate place in accordance with company policy

Essential Skills & Experience

•Be passionate about bringing through local apprentices
•Be acutely aware of Health and Safety principles
•Have a great understanding of technical principles
•Have a good gemmological knowledge base
•Great commercial awareness
•Have an exceptional attention to detail
•Have fantastic organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
•General repair work
•Polishing experience
•Non specialist setting
•Re-claw work
•Remake experience
•Experience with Specialist setting work is Desirable
•CAD experience would be advantageous

•Salary of up to GBP28,000pa available DOE
•Working 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
