We are a family-owned business that is an integral part of our community. Since opening in 2017, we have significantly grown our customer base and want to continue providing excellent service to our community. We are looking for an individual who wants to join our dedicated team in fulfilling our mission to be the community’s trusted source for quality jewelry and excellent jewelry services on Southern Delaware’s beautiful coast!

Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes personal pride in their craft and is confident in the most common jewelry repairs. If you lack some of the know-how but have the passion, some knowledge and the right innate abilities, we will teach you.

Responsibilities

•Swiftly identify the root cause of the required repair
•Complete repairs with excellence and efficiently
•Must complete a minimum of 3 jobs per hour
•Reshape rings
•Apply different style of finishes on rings
•Size rings up or down varying in different sizes or width in gold, silver
•Half shank rings varying in sizes and width
•Solder rings together.
•Knowledge of semi-precious colored stones
•Set and tighten melee stones
•Solder and service all styles of bracelets and chains (clasps)
•Laser engraving
•Re-tipping of prongs
•Manage scrap metal and repair components with integrity
•Identify and accurately assess gemstones and diamonds
•Adhere to company procedures

· Enthusiastic about staying up to date on product knowledge to provide the best customer experience possible.

· Takes personal pride in repairs and custom work.

Qualifications

· Demonstrated skill of the most common jewelry repairs such as; ring sizing, stone setting and/or tightening, laser soldering, chain shortening/lengthening, clasp repairs, prong repairs, polishing and refinishing.

· A passion for generating a top-notch customer experience

· Self-motivated

· Dependable

· Strong organizational skills

· Experience in jewelry field

· Professional and courteous manner

· Team oriented

· Creativity and strong problem-solving skills

· Proficient with bench tools

· Strong time management skills

Education And/or Experience

•A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
•Previous experience in the jewelry industry and previous bench experience
•GIA certifications (preferred)
•Preferred degrees would be BA, BFA, MA, MFA
•Trade schools (preferred)
•Jewelers of America (preferred)
