Job description

Here at the Swatch Group (UK) Limited, we are now getting ready to start recruiting for our future watchmakers of 2020/2021.

Due to our strong partnership with the British School of Watchmaking, we are recruiting for trainee watchmakers to take part in the 2020 1800 hour WOSTEP Watchmaking Course, located in Manchester for 1 year, commencing in January 2020.

The Swatch Group (UK) Limited will conduct pre-assessments of suitable applications we receive before passing to the British School of Watchmaking to complete the final stage of the recruitment process. Should you be successful following the final recruitment stage with the School, you will be employed and sponsored by the Swatch Group (UK) Limited.

Important: Whilst the course is delivered in Manchester the role following successful graduation is based in Southampton.

•Attend all classes regularly and punctually, dressed in an appropriate manner.
•Hand in all assignments/coursework within the allotted time frame.
• Ensure that you revise for all modules/exams and pass the relevant tests.

In your application to this course, we will expect a detailed covering letter describing why you have chosen to begin a career within watchmaking with the Swatch Group (UK) Limited.

Should you be successful in your initial application, we will contact you to invite you to the initial interview stage, which will be an Open Assessment day held across the week commencing 22^nd July 2019, based at our UK Customer Service site based in Southampton.

Following this, you shall be notified if your application is to be progressed to the British School of Watchmaking, for the next stage of the recruitment process.
