The role
Reporting to the OMEGA Workshop Supervisor, this position is responsible for undertaking Complete and Partial Maintenance services on OMEGA timepieces. This position is based at our Martin Place OMEGA Boutique in Sydney.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assembly and disassembly of the watch head /bracelet
  • Repair of bracelets
  • Glass fitting
  • Water resistance checks
  • Diagnostics and fault finding within movements
  • Servicing / overhaul of the movement in line with technical instructions
  • Exchange of movements
  • Dial and hands fitting
  • Tuning of precision and rate adjustment

Skills and experience

  • Qualified with satisfactory completion of a watchmaking apprenticeship/ diploma such as WOSTEP
  • Demonstrated experience with servicing mechanical and automatic timepieces
  • Excellent technical watch knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills and methodology
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to cope under pressure
