We are excited to have opened our first Watchmaking Service Centre to support our growing Service business and our long-term vision of investing in our heritage and keeping unique skills alive. Our workshop, based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, is a geographical first, with state-of-the-art design and equipment offering opportunities to train with and work alongside industry leaders. The Laings Service Centre comprises of a multi-bench workshop, with talented watchmakers, technicians, a staffed polishing workshop, materials and logistics department, where quality of work is consistently upheld.
Due to our continuing growth, we have a new opening for a Watch Technician and invite suitably qualified individuals to forward on their expression of interest for consideration. With our luxury brand portfolio, we will provide you with an opportunity to work on quality timepieces to support our showrooms across the UK.

Our Watch Technician will be responsible for:
- Diagnosis of modern wristwatches across a number of quartz and mechanical calibres.
- Partial servicing of quartz watches.
- De-casing and watch case and bracelet assembly across a number of brands.
- Watch case and bracelet maintenance.
- Water resistance testing.
- Movement exchange.
Our ideal person we are looking for will hold the following skills:
- Timepiece movement testing, diagnosis and intermediate IT skills.
- A focus on quality and excellence.
- Have an enthusiastic and positive personality and effectively manage your time and productivity whilst at work.
- Proven organisational skills, as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technically minded with a proven track record of working meticulously and accurately.
