Description
The role of Certified Watchmaker will report to the Service Manager and work in partnership with the Bonifas family with a primary role of diagnosing, estimating, and servicing Rolex watches while maintaining an organized and clean workshop in beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. You will enjoy working in our new, state of the art workshop flooded with natural light and fresh air. A relocation package will be made available for qualified candidates.

- Authenticate, Diagnose, and repair watches, replacing damaged parts as needed
- Clean and lubricate watch parts
- Reassemble watches and adjust their accuracy according to Rolex guidelines and standards
- Ability to polish case and bracelet components to exacting standards based on Rolex brand guidelines.
- Test and adjust watch movements to ensure proper function and accuracy
- Keep accurate records of services provided and repair costs including utilizing our POS system to populate itemized repair estimates
- Order and maintain a supply of watch parts and tools as needed
- Comfort and proficiency utilizing computers for communication, service estimates, and inventory tracking, as well as regular online meetings as needed.
- Comply to all Rolex and Fourtané standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Formal training at a watchmaking school such as SAWTA or WOSTEP.
- Rolex service experience and certification would be ideal, but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of watchmaking courses or apprenticeships
- Familiarity with hand and machine tools
- Attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patient and meticulous work style
- Focused on meeting deadlines and managing workflows to do so.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written.
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Goal oriented and committed to achieving monthly productivity quotas.
