Bench Jeweler (Stone Setting & Restoration Focus)Company Overview
Join Abbott & Oaks, a fine jewelry company on a mission to become the leading destination for vintage and antique jewelry in the country. We are a fast-growing, founder-led brand shaping a rapidly expanding category, with strong momentum and ambitious growth ahead. Our work is rooted in preservation, craftsmanship, and respect for the history each piece carries.

Role Summary
Abbott & Oaks is seeking a Bench Jeweler with a strong emphasis on stone setting and restorative bench work to support the preparation and preservation of our vintage and antique pieces.
This role is well-suited for an experienced bench jeweler, though recent graduates of accredited jewelry and metals programs are encouraged to apply.
Working with vintage and antique jewelry requires patience, precision, and restraint. You will focus heavily on stone setting, tightening, and stabilization, along with thoughtful restoration and repair.
You will work directly under a Master Bench Jeweler with over 30 years of experience, receiving ongoing mentorship and hands-on training in advanced antique and fine-jewelry techniques.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to practice your craft in an environment that prioritizes quality over speed and preservation over replacement. Your work will directly impact the longevity and integrity of historic pieces—many over a century old.
You’ll be part of a growing brand that genuinely values bench expertise and offers the rare chance to refine your skills under a master jeweler while contributing to a company defining the future of vintage and antique jewelry.

- Condition Assessment: Evaluate jewelry for structural issues and collaborate on the most appropriate restoration approach.
- Bench & Tool Care: Maintain tools, workspace, and safe handling practices consistent with fine-jewelry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the cataloging and operations teams to ensure pieces are properly assessed, prepared, and ready for sale.
