Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced watchmaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining various types of Swiss watches, including both mechanical and quartz models. The individual will gradually take over the responsibilities of a seasoned watchmaker and help uphold the high standards of quality and precision for which the company is known.
Responsibilities:
• Examine watches to identify defects and determine the root causes of operational issues;
• Perform repairs and replace components in mechanical and quartz watches;
• Carry out routine overhauls, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of watch movements;
• Adjust and regulate movements following repairs to ensure accuracy and proper function;
• Conduct checks and tests to verify the quality of repairs;
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate repair and maintenance records;
• Use and maintain specialized tools and equipment required for watchmaking tasks;
• Work independently while collaborating with management;
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in watchmaking;
• Technical training in watchmaking or a related field is an asset;
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and quartz movements;
• Experience in repairing and maintaining luxury and high-end brand watches;
• Excellent manual dexterity, meticulousness, and attention to detail;
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and perform complex repairs;
• Basic proficiency in spoken French. Salary scale:
• $36/hour
• Full-time: 40 hours per week
