Job Description: Bench Jeweler – Jewelry Buying & Selling Chain (Pittsburgh Area)

Position: Store Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Multiple Store Locations)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Reports To: Multi-Store Manager/Regional Director

We are seeking a moderate to a highly experience bench jeweler in the Pittsburgh for an immediate open position.

Requirements – Middle-Level Bench Jeweler

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on bench jewelry experience
  • Proficient in jewelry repair and restoration, including:
  • Ring sizing (up and down)
  • Prong retipping and rebuilding
  • Stone setting (prong, bezel, channel; pavé a plus)
  • Soldering
  • Strong polishing and finishing skills for gold, platinum, and silver
  • Ability to work independently on standard repairs with minimal supervision

Technical Knowledge

  • Experience working with precious metals (gold, platinum, silver)
  • Comfortable setting diamonds and common colored gemstones
  • Ability to assess repair needs and recommend proper solutions
  • Understanding of basic jewelry construction and fabrication techniques

Quality & Efficiency

  • High attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
  • Consistent, clean, and professional bench work

Tools & Equipment

  • Proficient with standard bench tools
  • Experience using microscopes, engraving tools etc
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized bench

Professionalism

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Strong communication skills with jewelers, managers, and sales staff
  • Willingness to learn advanced techniques and adapt to shop standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
