Vacancy for Bench Jeweler (Baton Rouge, LA)

Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, an AGS Accredited Jeweler, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Bench Jeweler to train directly under our Master Bench Jeweler at our Corporate Office located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

This full-time apprenticeship offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn the art of fine jewelry manufacturing through structured mentorship and daily training in a professional workshop environment.

Working alongside a highly skilled and experienced craftsman, this individual will develop foundational skills in both traditional and modern techniques, including casting, soldering, stone setting, polishing, finishing, jewelry assembly, and basic design principles.

Our First Choice candidate is reliable, patient, and eager to learn, with a genuine passion for craftsmanship. This individual demonstrates strong hand–eye coordination, a commitment to developing precise technical skills, and a desire to build a long-term career in the jewelry industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated interest in jewelry, metalwork, design, or related craft
Strong attention to detail and steady hand skills
Ability to follow detailed instruction and accept constructive feedback
Commitment to learning and professional growth
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

No prior professional jewelry experience is required.
