Position Overview
Baltimore Watch Company is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Watchmaker to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a craftsperson who takes pride in precision work and can perform complex mechanical repairs and servicing to the highest standard of quality.
Candidates should have formal watchmaking training or equivalent hands-on experience servicing mechanical and quartz movements. As part of the hiring process, qualified candidates will complete a hands-on bench test to demonstrate their technical skill set.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical and quartz watch movements
• Perform full servicing, cleaning, lubrication, and regulation of watch movements
• Replace and fit components, crystals, crowns, gaskets, and other watch parts
• Conduct precision timing adjustments and water-resistance testing
• Perform detailed quality control inspections on finished and repaired watches
• Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and parts inventory
• Source and manage relationships with parts suppliers as needed
• Follow established repair, assembly, and production procedures
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and efficient
• Mentor and support junior watch technicians as needed
Qualifications
• Must be based in the United States
• Formal watchmaking education preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of professional watch repair experience, or equivalent demonstrated skill
• Proficiency servicing both mechanical and quartz movements
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision manual dexterity
• Ability to complete a hands-on bench test demonstrating movement disassembly, servicing, and reassembly
• Existing access to a parts account (e.g., authorized supplier accounts) is a plus
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to continue developing technical skills
Assessment Process
Candidates who advance in the hiring process will be asked to complete a bench test as part of the final assessment. This practical evaluation allows candidates to demonstrate their technical proficiency, including movement disassembly, servicing, troubleshooting, and reassembly.
Schedule
• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
