Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Watch Technician role located in Oshawa, ON. The Watch Technician will perform day-to-day tasks such as diagnosing mechanical and quartz watch issues, carrying out repairs, servicing and cleaning movements, replacing components, and performing battery and strap changes. The role includes using specialized tools and equipment, maintaining accurate records of work performed, and ensuring all repairs meet quality and safety standards. The Watch Technician will interact with customers to explain findings and recommended services, provide clear timelines for repairs, and support the team in maintaining an organized and efficient workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in watch repair and servicing, including experience with mechanical and quartz movements and use of precision tools.
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to work on small, delicate components accurately and safely.
  • Customer service and communication skills to clearly explain repair work, timelines, and care instructions in a professional manner.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple repair jobs, maintain documentation, and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Previous experience as a watch technician, watchmaker, or in a related technical repair role is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant training or certification in horology or watch repair is an asset, though equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work on-site in Oshawa, ON, collaborate with team members, and follow company procedures and quality standards.
