Responsibilities:

Jewelers are responsible for delicate jeweler detailing and cast cleaning of precious metal jewelry (platinum and gold) in order to prepare pieces for assembly of complex components to Tiffany & Co. production and quality standards.

•Assemble medium to the moderate complex shank and ring components using precious metals by following Tiffany & Co. prescribed routing steps, utilizing proper hand tools and equipment.
•Use Foredom motors, handpieces, and other jeweler tools to shape, clean, and repair jewelry components.
•Operate laser weld machine to assembly specific products to Tiffany & Co. quality standards, as well as to repair casting defects on components and subassemblies.
•Verify and ensure components meet Tiffany & Co;s. complex quality guidelines and correctly identify unacceptable quality conditions, including asymmetry, in both components and subassemblies. Communicate all quality concerns to the supervisor.
•Count and record individual daily production results, verify accuracy of work orders and notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
•Maintain a clean work area and ensure daily that all precious metal is secured and precious metal scrap is turned in.

Qualifications:

•2 + years of jewelry experience working with precious metals
•Ability to be trained and learn jeweler techniques and processes
•Strong organizational, interpersonal and partnership skills.
•Ability to communicate issues clearly in a team environment and effectively interact with multiple staff levels.
•Flexibility to work non-standard hours and overtime during peak business periods
•Basic computer literacy
•High School Diploma or equivalent
