Overview
A Jeweler is responsible for the completion of all jewelry alterations performed at the CFC. The Level II Jeweler must communicate technical jewelry repair information and quality control concerns as needed. Alterations on a diverse assortment of merchandise must be completed in a timely manner and meet Tiffany quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform quality jewelry alterations on all assigned work in accordance with Tiffany & Co. design and quality standards, while meeting all promised ship date requirements.
Advise management on repair techniques, quality related issues and process improvements. Requisition parts for repair as necessary through communication with management and administrative staff.
Assist in watch battery changes and in rhodium plating serviced white gold alteration orders as business demands dictate.
Work in a team environment maintaining a respectful work place and maintaining professional conduct at all times. Participate and carry out team tasks by assisting co-workers with servicing, feedback and other team requirements. Adapt easily to new responsibilities including the capacity to work independently or in a group environment, allowing for the flexing to all areas of Distribution, providing the necessary support to fulfill business needs.
Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedure for your position as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
Qualifications
•echnical school training and/or professional experience (minimum 5 years).
•Experience in the repair of diverse work of all metals and stones using the highest quality standards.
•Good verbal and written English communication skills.
•Experience in watch battery changes
•Overtime or flexible working hours required based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirments
•Competency in using all state-of-the-art repair equipment.
•Some experience in stone setting.
