Master Bench Jeweler + Stone Setter – Full Time in Andover, Massachusetts
Melanie Casey Corp is seeking a full-time master bench jeweler to join our growing team of goldsmiths in our Andover, Massachusetts facility. This is an advanced level position, requiring a mastery of the listed skills.Requirements to apply:
•At least five years of professional work experience at a jewelers bench
•The ability to execute the below skills with little to no training, and an ability to demonstrate these on a bench test
Applicant must have expertise in the following skills:
•Soldering 14k gold
•Advanced stone setting
•Polishing
•Stud and necklace assembly
•Experience on a laser welder
•Ability to oversee their own workflow to meet deadlines
•Experience in a leadership role or performing quality checks in a previous job would be a plus but is not required
This bench jewelry position is full time, 40 hours, Monday – Friday. Optional overtime is typically available. We are not a retail location, so we are closed on major holidays.Pay rate will be based on experience. This position is ideal for someone who wants to continue their career as a production jeweler. We are looking for patience, enthusiasm, and perfection. This person will not rest until the polish is perfect and their stone setting is tight and each prong lines up just right.Our shop is focused on manufacturing, so this is not a client-facing role.
We are not a repair shop or a custom jewelry shop. Our jewelers make jewelry from the Melanie Casey collection and often work on product development for new designs. This is a rare opportunity to make fine jewelry all day, without having to participate in any of the customer service side!
