Summary: Responsible for stone setting, sizing, soldering, polishing, and general repair work standards of quality, service, and timeliness
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Service all customer repairs from stores on set schedule
•Service all store repairs
•Coordinate all customer repairs with stores
•Do all bids for estimates
•Filling online sizing and repair requests
•Maintain and clean all tool equipment
•Determine acceptable repairs and repair items
•Back up for all polishing and cleaning procedures
•Research and determine proper retail price
•Remove and reset all GIA stones for certification
•Coordinate all pulling and resetting of stone
•Assist with grading diamonds when necessary
•Other duties as assigned by upper management
Qualifications
Formal Education and Experience Requirement (Must meet one or more of the following requirements):
•Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year College or University
•5+ years of jewelry and goldsmith experience
Knowledge:
•Knowledge of diamonds, colored stones and precious metals
•Working knowledge of jewelry repair
•Knowledge with sizing, bench scope, laser welder, torch work, polishing, refurbishing and steaming
