We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fine Jewelry and Timepieces team located at our headquarters in Carlsbad, CA!

As a FASHION Bench Jeweler, you will be expected to evaluate & repair pre-owned luxury goods (Cartier, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Rolex, etc.) from clients in our showroom(s) and online. Bench Jeweler should be knowledgeable of most luxury brands and will execute evaluations and repairs on site and in an accurate and efficient manner. This is a full-time position paying between $15 – $18 an hour, depending on experience, with generous benefits such as employer paid medical insurance for the employee.

This is a key position for Fashionphile, as our business is selling pre-owned designer handbags, fine jewelry and timepieces. We’re proud to deliver an immense selection of brands and styles, while continuing to grow our inventory and customer supplier base at an energetic pace.

What You’ll Do:

•Chain and Claps Repair
•Re-tipping prongs
•Setting Stones
•Performing channel and platinum rebuilds
•Performing minor ring and other jewelry repairs
•Identifying and weighing of alloy and/or jewelry pieces
•Performing minor battery changes and link additions to timepieces
•Assessing the functionality of timepieces

What is required: Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•1-3 years Bench Jeweler (or relevant) in skilled trade working with fine metals
•Customer service minded individuals with a high standard for quality work
•Extreme attention to detail
•Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative environment
•Demonstrate willingness to be proactive and remain productive as workflow expands or is reduced Outstanding communication abilities
•Excellent organizational skills
•Work at a jewelers bench for up to 8 hours per day
•Lift up to 20 pounds
•Average to excellent vision (or corrected vision), without any color deficiencies (color blindness)
•Fluent in English, including reading and spelling
•Proficient typing skills (30 wpm+)
•Able to navigate the internet and use search functions
•Proficient in basic word processing skills
•Simple math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
